USBA pays tribute to Military Service Members - American Flag

Every Nov. 11, we as a nation commemorate Veterans Day with parades, picnics, ceremonies, and even special NFL uniforms. The day is an opportunity to pay tribute to all American veterans who have served our Nation.

USBA salutes all those who swore an oath to protect and defend our nation both past and present. Your selfless service and sacrifice are appreciated by a grateful nation.

While Veterans Day may be a day of celebration and special football uniforms for some, for many veterans, it is a day of reflection. Reflecting on their service, connecting with their brothers and sisters in arms, and sharing stories and memories of the shared sacrifice.

Thank you for making this world a better place with your courage, sacrifice, and service to our nation. As a military association, we sincerely thank all of our veterans and their families for giving so much to so many. Your courage and selflessness are appreciated beyond words. On Veterans Day and every day, we honor you.

USBA was founded in 1959 to help provide financial support to the families of those serving in the military. We hire veterans and their spouses whenever possible, sponsor a Veterans Community Project (VCP) Tiny Home and volunteer our time at VCP. The Kansas City Veterans Community Project was the original Tiny Home community prototype for homeless and at-risk veterans and is now being used as a blueprint for other VCPs in cities across the country, currently including Longmont, Colorado; St. Louis, Missouri; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Paying Tribute
There are many ways to honor the Veterans in your life and community. USBA is proud to provide a way to honor the men and women who have bravely served our country with an annual eCard. You can recognize the Military Service Members in your life by sharing the Veterans Day 2023 eCard through email or by sharing it on social media.

There are many other ways to show your appreciation this Veterans Day:

  1. Fly your American flags.
  2. Observe a moment of silence at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11.
  3. Shop at veteran-owned businesses.
  4. Attend a local Veterans Day parade.
  5. Volunteer at a local veteran’s organization or VA hospital.
  6. Donate to an organization that supports veterans.
  7. If you know someone serving overseas, send a care package. (Be sure to follow these mail guidelines)

Uniformed Services Benefit Association (USBA) is a not-for-profit Association that provides group life insurance, health insurance supplements, and other products and services to military personnel, Federal employees, National Guard and Reserve members, Veterans and their families.
